The general public is invited to come on Saturday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, February 22, from 1-4 p.m., there will be an "entry fee" of $5 for a bag which can be filled with ANY non-special items, as much as the bag will hold. Videos, DVDs, cds, cassettes, and some toys will be part of the sale as well.

YOUTH SERVICES:
On Monday, February 16, at 1 p.m., Appletree Theater's Traveling Troupe, led by Eileen Boever, will perform the musical revue, Time of Your Life. The performers are children aged 10 to 14 from all over the Chicago area. Aimed at an audience of ages 4-10, everyone is welcome, but preschoolers must come with an adult. ICE SCULPTURE

The ice sculpture made Saturday by master carver Dan Rebholz has been on display near the fountain at the front entrance. As is typical of ice sculptures, its existence is fleeting and will soon be gone, especially if it gets as warm this weekend as predicted. I was able to see it on Tuesday--a seal sitting on a pile of books, balancing two more books, corner-to-corner on its nose--but by the time I brought my camera on Wednesday, the books on its nose were fallen to the ground. Here are the pictures I was able to take:
