On Tuesday, November 18, the Evening Book Group will be discussing Persuasion by Jane Austen, at 7:30 p.m., in Kids Korner.
On Wednesday, November 19, a flu clinic has been scheduled for 9:30- 12:30 a.m. For more information , call the Hotline at 1-847-357-4057.
YOUTH SERVICES:
On Tuesday, November 18, at 6 p.m., the informational meeting about the 2009 Battle of the Books for 4th and 5th graders will take place in the Large Meeting room. Parents as well as the BOB teams should attend to get the latest facts about the new season. Team members and names (especially correct spelling) will be verified along with any scheduling conflicts. A very brief mock battle will be demonstrated so that newcomers can get an idea of the rules.
On Thursday, November 20, families are invited to participate in the state-wide Family Reading Night at 7 p.m. Kids can wear their pajamas and bring their favorite cuddling toy and/or blankie. Parents are encouraged to bring along a favorite book to read aloud. If a parent plans to do this, we request that they register online so Mrs. Clark has an idea of how many will be reading--and what. Or, call Youth Services at extension 268. Milk and cookies will be served.
