UPCOMING EVENTS JUNE 23-29
ADULT SERVICES:
On Monday, June 23, at 7 p.m., orthopedic surgeon Dr. Paul Nourbach will present the program Get Hip to Joint Replacement. Dr. Nourbach will discuss if and when replacement surgery may be necessary and what can be expected as a result of such a procedure. To register and make an appointment, call Alexian Connects at 1-866-ALEXIAN (253-9426).
YOUTH SERVICES:
On Tuesday, June 24, at 7 p.m., the movie The Spiderwick Chronicles will be shown in the Large Meeting Room. Based on the popular fantasy series by Holly Black, it is for all ages, but some scary monsters have caused it to be rated PG. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult. No tickets are required, but space is limited.
On Wednesday, June 25, Terry Kiefer will present the program Caterpillars to Butterflies. Learn how butterflies transform from caterpillars and how gardens can be used to attract them. Two sessions are scheduled, at 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. All ages are welcome. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited in Kids Korner. Preschoolers need to come with an adult.
Thursday, June 26 (weather permitting), the highly anticipated annual Tie-dye T-shirts returns. All four sessions--9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.--have waiting lists at this time. If the weather is rainy, Bingo will be played instead and this program will be rescheduled for the following week. [NOTE: t-shirts are on sale at both Hobby Lobby and Michaels this week.]
On Friday, June 27, Flute Sweets & Tickle Toons: Music & Storytheater will present Green Golly & Her Golden Flute, a musical variation on the story of Rapunzel, at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome--preschoolers must come with an adult--but it is recommended for ages 5 and up.
