LIBRARY HAPPENINGS MAY 30-JUNE 4
YOUTH SERVICES:
Students in 6th grade and up are invited to attend a meeting concerning being a Volunteer during our annual Summer Reading Program. This year's SRP, Elk Grove-opoly, will begin on Monday, June 12, and will end on Friday, July 28. There will be two informational meetings--only one needs to be attended--, one on Tuesday, May 30, at 7:00 p.m., and the other on Wednesday, May 31, at 4:00 p.m. Interested students should bring a parent (written permission is needed) and a copy of their summer schedule. They should be prepared to be in a 1 1/2 hour meeting (possibly), learning the basics and signing up for hours--usually 2-hours at a time. These volunteer hours can be used for required Community Service hours. And, there will be a special party after the last week with food, games, and prizes.
