LIBRARY HAPPENINGS APRIL 10-15
ADULT SERVICES:
On Monday, April 10, the movie Proof, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Anthony Hopkins, will be shown at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room. This movie concerns a young woman who is trying to cope with the recent death of her father, a brilliant mathematician, while trying to continue his work on an important proof.
Two Computer classes will be taught this week:
Internet: Beyond the Basics will be presented at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, April 10--shortcuts and tricks for patrons familiar with the Internet and able to use a mouse
Microsoft Word 2000 will be presented on Tuesday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m.--for inexperienced patrons who can use a mouse; creating, saving, and editing documents
YOUTH SERVICES:
The annual Spring Fling: Bunny Hop and Hat Parade programs will be presented this week for preschoolers through Kindergarten age children. Seasonal stories, finger plays, puppet shows, and the highly anticipated Hat Parade through the Library (attendees should wear a hat--paperplate hat patterns are available at the Youth Services Reference desk) will be incorporated into each program. The Spring Bunny will make a special appearance.
They will be held on:
Tuesday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 12, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m.
No tickets are necessary.
Please note that Storytimes are over now until the middle of June when the Summer Reading Program begins.
THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED ON SUNDAY, APRIL 16, FOR THE EASTER HOLIDAY.
