LIBRARY HAPPENINGS FEBRUARY 6-12

ADULT SERVICES:
On Monday, February 6, local film critic Reid Schultz, from Columbia College, will return for a timely program called A Night at the Oscars. The films of 2005, the 2006 Oscar nominations and the films that were overlooked, will be discussed by Mr. Schultz; audience participation will be encouraged. Register at the Reception Desk for this 7:00 p.m. presentation in the Large Meeting Room.

This week there will be several Computer Classes offered:
Internet Basics on Tuesday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m.--toolbars, IP addresses, hyperlinks, and more for patrons who can at least use a mouse
Exploring your PC on Wednesday, February 8, at 7:00 p.m.--working with folders to organize data
Internet: Beyond the Basics on Thursday, February 9, at 2:15 p.m.--patrons who can use a mouse will learn shortcuts and tricks for effective Internet use
Microsoft Word 2000 on Thursday, February 9, at 7:00 p.m.--If a patron can use a mouse, he/she can learn how to create word documents, edit them, and save them
Register for these classes at the Reception Desk.

The Morning Book Discussion Group will be meeting this week at the Sheila Ray Senior Center on Tuesday, February 7, at 10:30 a.m. Chris Mika will lead the discussion on P.J. Tracey's Monkeewrench.

YOUTH SERVICES:
There will be a Drop-in Craft on Saturday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Interested children can come any time, but should register at the Youth Services Reference Desk to be assured of having supplies. For pre-schoolers and up.

The Wolves' Winter Reading Program began Saturday, February 4. There is still time to sign up and earn raffle tickets for every 30 minutes spent reading Elk Grove Library books.
